Internships
Internships at Selman Contemporary are a great way to gain knowledge and experience in the business of art. Internships are paid, and approximately 10 hours a week.
Qualified candidates will be enthusiastic, motivated self-starters who have a strong interest in art history, contemporary art, and the commercial side of the art world. A professional manner, grace under pressure and strong organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
Provide general administrative support to advisory staff
Research and report on artists, exhibitions and artist-related projects
Compile press related to artists, artworks, and the art market
Maintain a list of monthly museum and gallery exhibitions
Other miscellaneous tasks that support the advisory
